Christmas Morning...

Grandma! Gotta love her! (Even when she tells you that something looks like it's to small for you to wear.)

Me with the babes.

Delicious strawberry and pecan pancakes with REAL whipped cream.....a family tradition. Oh man, it was so good!

My Beautiful Sister with my Beautiful Boys!

Christmas really was so wonderful. Not to hectic because there were only four adults at our house and two babies. It would've been nice if we would have had more family around but it didn't work out that way so we made the best of it. We were up pretty late Christmas Eve night because both babies got a bad cold or cough or ear infection or something. (I haven't been able to take them to the doctor yet, so I don't really know what's wrong with them.) They just didn't seem very happy so I gave them a little medicine to help them sleep. When we woke up in the morning to get them out of bed, Brock's left nostril was jammed packed with disgusting crusty buggers....so gross I know. We had a lot of fun with my Grandma and I'm pretty sure she had a good time too. After we opened our gifts, we called my Mom and Dad on skype to visit with them. Jeremy and Krista stayed with them for Christmas this year so when we got on skype it felt as if we were all together in one big room. My Grandma LOVED Skype! She kept saying over and over, I just think this is SO NEAT. Sometimes I try to think what will be "SO NEAT" in the future to me when I'm 84 years old. The year will be 2067.....I can't even really imagine. After breakfast, we put the boys back down for a nap and then we all took naps. It was delightful. Then we drove up to Logan to have dinner with my cousin Ashley, her husband, Cody, His sister, Brittany and their little boy Daxton. I totally forgot to bring my camera so that is why there are no pictures of the afternoon part of Christmas day.

So now another Christmas has come and gone and I'm sad about it. I actually think of that song from the Forgotten Carols, "I cry the day that I take the tree down, I want the season to last all year long." I really wish it could last all year long but if it did, I wonder if I would appreciate it as much as I do. Probably not. That's just the way we work as humans I suppose. Speaking of taking the tree down, mine is down. I was actually really sick of getting after the boys about getting into it so I took it down today while they were napping. I feel like my house has a little organization back. Anyway, I hope everyone else had a happy Christmas. Now I'm looking forward for when the boys turn Two next year. I'm hoping they'll understand it a little more by then.

I love your blog and all your posts. I love that song from Forgotten Carols too, it always makes me a little teary eyed. Its so much fun to create and carry on traditions with our own families now. I thought about you a lot this Christmas season and miss you tons! Love you a whole lotta!

Looks like you guys had a nice Christmas despite sick babies. I know the feeling- Isaiah hasn't been too happy either. But they are still so cute! I can't believe how much older Brock looks than Everett. Cute family!
