to health
I might be a little late on doing this, but I just signed the "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" petition. I watched his show on youtube earlier this week and it kinda made me realize that I want my kids to be healthy and I have got to start leading by example. I was only able to watch one episode but it was enough to make me think about what I am putting in my babes mouths everyday. I don't really understand what preservatives are and which are bad and which are good, if any at all. So I have lots to learn about it but I am going to be better about preparing meals for my family and to always try to make a habit out of sitting down together at the dinner table with one another. I probably am getting ahead of myself here because the boys are just barely 2 years old but I know if I get them started with healthy habits while they're young, then as they grow up, they will not know any difference. Plus I always remember my Mom cooking for us growing up. Every. Single. Meal. Unless of course it was a weekend and we got to go to Taco Bell, which was always a big exciting thing for me when I was a kid. So anyway, if you are interested in Jamie Oliver, this is his website; jamieoliver.com

Good for you! Are you seriously going to try the gluten-free thing? Let me know how it goes. You are such a good mommy. Love you.
I love Jamie Oliver, he is so direct, but not pushy, and he's always right. And no, it's never too early (or too late) to start/recommit to eating right. I gave up on it for a long time, but now a 3 inch fetus is teaching me what I should and should not be eating - and it doesn't do any good to disagree with him/her (5 more days!!!)
Way to go! I cook every day for my fam and some days I don't want to do it because half the time Sophie doesn't want to eat what i slaved for hours planning and preparing. Helpful hint: plan your menus/groceries for the month, i usually sit down on a sunday afternoon while the babies are sleeping and sift through cookbooks and allrecipes.com, let me know how the gluten free thing goes- i haven't brought myself to do that cause just love baked goods and pasta too much but i do do the whole grain/wheat flour and low sodium. When you have time give me a ring-or facebook- and we can plan a playdate for the boys and Sophie, it was great seeing you again!
