basque food

Tonight we were able to go out on a date. Date nights really are the way to keep a marriage alive. I know we just had our little vacation together just a couple of weeks ago so you're probably thinking we shouldn't need any parent time for a couple of months but we made a deal with uncle Andon and tia Ale to switch babysitting one another's children so we each had an opportunity to have some time away from the kiddos.

Well last week we watched Emma for them so this weekend we got our break away. We weren't sure where to go so we looked up popular restaurants on the urbanspoon app and this little Basque Pub and eatery came up with pretty good reviews that was the least expensive. Its in downtown Boise on a little block they call the Basque block. Its such a cute little area. I almost felt like I was visiting a real basque pub in Spain. (Almost;)) Joaquin ordered a extra spicy lamb sandwich of some sort and I got a chorizo and rice dish. Mine wasn't great but I really liked Joaquin's. Which is typically what always happens. I almost always prefer what he orders rather than what I order. It's a curse. I'm a girl who always wants what she can't have. So annoying.

Love date nights! They're the best!

Small place, but fun.

My dish.

And this was how we chose to end our night. Hope you enjoy our romantic song.

I think it's fare to say that I think we're pretty awesome sometimes.
