Happy Christmas and Merry new year.

Christmas this year has been by far the best and worst ever. We seemed to have procrastinated a lot of our Christmas to do's until Christmas eve. Joaquin and I we're both up very late wrapping gift and picking up the house. I went to bed around 1am and he came to bed around 2, I think. Once we got to bed it felt like we only got 2 hours of sleep until we hear Brock wake up crying. Which actually it was really 8 am but felt like so much earlier. But we got up and told them about how Santa had come to the house. We showed them their stockings and they were so excited. Then we walked them out to the front room to show them all the gifts that were there for them. They both were so amazed. Their small voices saying, "wow..." was priceless to us. That was probably the best and most magical part of the entire day.

Christmas eve

grandpa Gerry gave the boys fishing poles. Their most prized gift.

The worst part about Christmas was when the boys, Joaquin included, got grumpy. I know it was a combination of not enough sleep and being over stimulated but they were all crabby crabertons. I couldn't wait for everyone to go to bed and the day just to be over.

Christmas eve and Christmas day were both quite lovely. I am excited for next year and know what things we'll be doing the same and what things we'll be doing different.

happy new years.

Emma lost a tooth new years eve.

New years was good for some of our family. I got the 24 hour stomach flu 2 days before new years but then I was fine. Well Joaquin got the same thing new years eve. He was laid out! We went to uncle Andon's house to celebrate with the fam while Joaquin laid in bed. But by the end of the night, he felt much better. Which was good because we had our 3 day get away to McCall the next day.

New years was quiet and nice and I know 2012 is going to be a wonderful year for our family. It has already started off on the right foot, I can't wait to see what else unfolds for us this year.

From our family to yours, happy new years. Let's make this year the best one yet.

Hey, I got those same Christmas jammies for my boys for next year! Cute! And don't worry, Brock and Evi weren't the only crabby crabertons- must go with the age!
