Our get away from kids for Joaquin's 30th birthday was a big hit. I don't think I have slept so much since the boys were born. It was so nice. We both just relaxed and enjoyed one another's company. It felt a little strange not having the boys around but it was well needed, long overdue time we got to have together.

Strange Indian carving on our way up to McCall. The woman working at the restaurant said small children are scared of him and a lot of times start to cry.

Pepper in my ketchup may look gross but I LOVE it.

We stayed at a worldmark condo so it's a home away from home. So we made sure to go grocery shopping before and we cooked lots of good food rather than going out to eat. /font>

wow, kinda scary.

We had some snow shoeing adventures. We weren't sure where to go so we just guessed on a place to go and we had apparently guessed wrong because a man who was grooming the trail, stopped us, lectured us on where was appropriate to snowshoe and where wasn't and asked us to leave. He was kind of a grumpy old man but we had fun none the less.

Our last meal in McCall was amazingly good. It was at a tiny coffee shop/diner called fog lifters.

I have to say, our trip wasn't all that exciting as far as the adventure goes but we really did have such a great time. I let Joaquin do and watch whatever he wanted, which included a whole lot of college football on Saturday, which in turn meant I got to do a whole lot of resting, relaxing and reading. This trip was to celebrate his 30th birthday and I just so happened to reap the benefits of his birth. Can't wait until I turn 30, I want to go to Hawaii or Mexico. Somewhere beautiful and warm. Happy Birthday again babe!
